New Delhi Is Calling: India Art Fair 2026 Sets the Global Stage

The South Asian art market is reaching a powerful new milestone. From February 5–8, 2026, the India Art Fair (IAF) returns to the NSIC Exhibition Grounds in Okhla for its 17th—and largest—edition to date.

As the premier platform for modern and contemporary art in the region, IAF 2026 is more than an exhibition—it is a critical meeting point for the creative economy, bringing together 123 exhibitors, including 87 galleries and 24 major art institutions.

Bridging Tradition and the Cutting Edge

The 2026 edition is thoughtfully designed to connect legacy practices with contemporary innovation, reflecting the evolving global influence of South Asian art.

  • Global Heavyweights & New Voices: International powerhouses such as David Zwirner and Galleria Continua appear alongside seven international newcomers, including Whitestone Gallery and London’s LAMB.
  • The Design Section: Returning for its third year and expanded in scale, this section features 12 pioneering studios—including Ashiesh Shah and Vikram Goyal—exploring collectible craft and contemporary design.
  • Solo Spotlights (FOCUS): Immersive presentations dedicated to individual masters, featuring celebrated works by Bharti Kher and the monumental sculptures of G. Ravinder Reddy.
  • The Swali Craft Prize: A major new installation in partnership with the Chanakya Foundation, spotlighting the dialogue between heritage craft traditions and contemporary expression.

Why IAF 2026 Matters

For curators, collectors, and cultural leaders, IAF 2026 stands as the definitive venue to assess the pulse of the South Asian art market. Beyond the gallery booths, the Talks Program and Professional Development sessions offer critical insights into emerging global trends—from AI-driven installations to the rise of regional “traditional-contemporary” practices across South Asia.
